As we have previously said in our Traffic rules for electric scooters article, cycling in Barcelona is a very common way of commuting. The city has an extensive bicycle paths network with over 233 km according to the Ajuntament with the goal to reach 308 km within a few years, which would mean that 95% of the population will have access to a bicycle lane in less than 300 meters from their front door.

We have created a map with all the current lanes in the city where you are allowed to cycle or ride electric scooters based on the information from the Ajuntament. That includes bicycle lanes both on the road and sidewalk, lanes shared with car traffic (where the speed is limited to 30 km/h) as well as areas where the pedestrians have priority but you are still allowed to cycle.

Please keep in mind that you are NOT allowed to do so on the sidewalk or the zebra crossings!
